His protocol is 4 rounds of chemo. The schedule is: chemo lasting 5 days, then two weeks off. Then chemo, 5 days, then 2 weeks off. We’ve completed one round of that, and so far, he’s only had a lot of nausea, and he looks WHITE. It’s off-putting to me, as he’s much paler than usual. He’s just beginning to lose his hair, and has had a couple of ‘down’ episodes. Who wouldn’t?!
But overall, he’s still strong, can still get around on his own, and I’m just trying to get him to please contact his workplace and get his paperwork mailed to him for disability and TAXES. Ugh. Yeah I’ll have to do all that. Oh well – I don’t mind. He can have visitors, but I’m wanting to keep the number of persons low, like 2. Luckily, his friends are COVID-aware and are fine with wearing masks around him and washing their hands a lot. I have to get back into that habit as well.
The Moose has been indispensable! He’s so helpful, and just got his driver’s permit so he can take Darien about town now! Woo hoo! We all have portable emesis basins in the cars just in case, and – plenty of towels. ALWAYS, always always know where your towel is.
Signing off….stay tuned!
